Does this policy cover multiple-principal investigators and co-principal investigators?

Yes. This policy applies to Multiple PIs and Co‑PIs; however, it does not apply to Co‑Investigators (Co‑Is) or other senior project personnel. If a sponsor does not recognize the Co‑PI or Multiple PI designation, the policy will instead apply to Co‑Investigators. The NIH, for example, does not recognize the Co‑PI designation. This FAQ should be considered in conjunction with the other FAQs when applying or interpreting eligibility determinations.
