A Geothermal Exchange System on Campus Proves Its Benefits
A geothermal exchange system designed by a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers, including Andrew Stumpf, Yu-Feng Lin, Steve Sargent, Tim Stark, Tugce Baser, and Roman Makhnenko, for the 124,000-square-foot Campus Instructional Facility is proving its worth by supplying about 65% of the building’s energy load, resulting in savings of $45K per year or $1.35M over the system’s lifespan.
